Board certified pediatric physicians at both locations provide exceptional medical care while developing long-term relationships with their patients. Pediatric Patients
The pediatric physicians of Blue Ridge Regional Hospital welcome infants, children and teens up to the age of 18. As your child’s primary care physician, we are ready to diagnose and treat the complete range of issues faced throughout development. Should we need to refer your child to a specialist, we continue to follow their care and support you through the process.
Pediatric Services
No matter what the issue might be, we are here to help. Both locations provide full-service pediatric care, so parents may feel confident calling us for any concern that appears at any age. Services we offer include:
- Routine wellness care – physicals, sports exams
- EPSDT physicals (Medicaid approved)
- Infant care
- Immunizations
- Treatment of illnesses and minor injuries
- Adolescent care
- Asthma and allergies
- Developmental assessments
- Preventive screenings
- Nutrition and exercise for weight management
Specialized Services
In addition to pediatric care, orthopaedic treatment, an x-ray suite, and an in-house laboratory are available at our Yancey Campus. In case of an emergency or serious illness, protocols are in place for rapid transfer to the Emergency Department at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital or to Mission Children’s Hospital, where appropriate. Our affiliation with Mission Health System provides continuity of care and emergency transportation using the Mountain Area Medical Airlift (MAMA), where necessary.
Urgent Care
Should your child need medical attention on Saturday or Sunday, you may bring them to the walk-in clinic at the Yancey Campus. Please see the hours listed below.

New Patients: New patients are welcome at both locations and you do not need a referral.
Existing Patients: Schedule an appointment at any time during office hours at the location where you’ve established a relationship.

Insurance Information
We participate with most major insurance providers; please check with your insurance carrier to verify your coverage and qualification requirements.
If you decide to pursue elective general or orthopaedic surgery and do not have insurance, we ask for $200 to be paid prior to the surgery.
